Two Groups of UI Engineering Students Help Chief
Chief Participates in U of I Engineering Senior Project
For the third consecutive year, Chief participated in the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Industrial and Enterprise Systems Engineering Program's Senior Project. Over the past semester, two groups of Engineering students analyzed and presented a solution to a couple of our recent business challenges.
Project A - New Location Optimization
As Chief continues to grow, we are beginning to experience challenges associated with limited space. The students from UI Industrial and Enterprise Systems Engineering Team helped us evaluate our best options for the future of the Chief building.
Project B - Traveling Demo Unit for BRIC® & MicroPlex Smart Controller
Another group of students helped to design and build a functional sales kit featuring several Chief products. The kit demonstrates how the Microplex coupled with the Chief BRIC® results in flexible, programmable functionality for various applications.
Both projects were presented to Chief, UI professors, and other participating companies on May 9th. For more information about the UI Engineering Program including how to participate in the Senior Project visit the Senior Engineering Program webpage, here.
